Grant Award brings New Café

We are pleased to announce that The Bristol Home has been awarded a grant through the New York State Department of Health Enhancing Abilities and Life Experience Program in the amount of $168,397.  The grant program was established to provide deserving residences with funds to develop methods to improve resident’s quality of life and independence.  The grant was written by our staff, and the funds will be used to renovate the area between the formal dining room and the resident services offices.  The result will be expanded dining seating, a café with self-service coffee and a family kitchen, fully equipped with cooking and baking facilities.  We plan to begin construction immediately after our October 2nd Gala, at which we will unveil the construction plans, including a rendering of the final design plans.

The Bristol Home was the only residence to receive funds in the Western Region of New York State.

I would like to thank those who participated in the grant development process, including our staff, Interior Solutions and Wahl to Wahl Construction.
