1st Annual Gala is Tribute to Gift Day

The first annual Bristol Home Gala will be held on October 2, 2009.  This will be the first public fundraiser that The Bristol Home has held in almost five years, but  hosting outstanding events is nothing new to us.  Since the mid 1800’s, The Bristol Home has solicited support from individuals, corporations and foundations to help meet operating goals.

This year the event will feature fine food and wine from various restaurants, piano music by one of our very talented residents and a Chinese auction.  If you are able to assist us by acquiring auction items, making a donation and/or attending the event,  your help will not be turned away.  For ticket information, see Jennifer or send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. For many years the annual Gift Day celebration, previously called the Annual Giving Day,  has been held as an acknowledgement of our rich history and the occasion to accept contributions as our primary means of raising much needed annual support dollars.  This support enables us to meet the growing and ever changing needs of our residents and is essential in facilitating our ongoing commitment to the aging women on Western New York.  The event was sponsored by many of our vendors and managed by the volunteer women’s board and membership of the home. A program booklet was given to all attendees highlighting interesting information about the previous year and acknowledging those who support the home and its charitable mission.   All of the food was prepared and served at our residence by our dining services team.  The event was attended by various family members, board members, businessmen and others.

Gift Day traditionally has brought in thousands of dollars to support such initiatives as a new facility wheelchair bus and remodeling the chapel.
