Our Need For Donations
For almost 150 years, the Bristol Home has been quietly helping women in our big blue house on Main Street in Buffalo. Our mission to provide the highest quality of care and services extends to all women, regardless of ability to pay. As a result, the women who come to our Home are able to maintain a sense of dignity and independence. In order to accept and retain economically disadvantaged elderly residents, The Bristol Home must successfully subsidize the cost of their care. These women can no longer live independently in the community, and without our ability to cover the cost of their care, they may otherwise have no other choice than to move unnecessarily and prematurely into a nursing home. We must also be able to obtain funding for important projects and improvements to keep our Home maintained and ready to serve our residents in the best setting possible.
How We Are Funded
We depend on the support of the community as well as foundation funding to keep our mission moving forward. Grants form local and national foundations provide us with much needed funds to tackle important renovation and building improvement projects we would otherwise be unable to complete. Additionally, we hold a Fundraising Gala each fall. This is our primary fundraising event within the community, where individuals and local businesses show their support.
How You Can Help
The Bristol Home is always in need of support to ensure we can continue our mission of caring for all women who need our services, regardless of ability to pay. Individual donations can be made at any time, please follow our “Donate” link to make a personal contribution. You may also contact us for more information on attending or sponsoring our Fundraising Gala. All donations made to the Bristol Home are tax-deductible. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the community and those who donate to support our mission. We are extremely proud of the fact that since 1868, no woman has ever needed to leave Bristol Home because she is unable to afford her cost of care. Without your support, we would not be able to continue our mission for those who need us most.
